Nohely Morales is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Colorado. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Counseling with a concentration in Addiction Studies in 2019, and then her Master of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her experience included working with domestic violence, victims, young adults, BIPOC, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, in both English and Spanish. She is a Certified Addictions Specialist, Approved Domestic Violence Treatment Provider, Rainbow Advocate and Educator, and is in training for EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She provides individual and group therapy using techniques such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. Nohely’s passion is working with diverse, underserved community members, and she believes that mental health is an important aspect of creating a balanced and meaningful life. She hopes to help break stigmas and stereotypes surrounding mental health, and believes that therapy is most useful when it recognizes how parts of identity interact with our social, cultural, and political environment. She was raised in Oaxaca, Mexico as well as in Denver, Colorado, and enjoys visiting her family back home every year. She loves spending time with friends and family, as well as attending her brother’s local band around the Denver metro area.
