Jesse Sperry obtained his Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver and completed post-graduate training in marriage and family therapy at the Denver Family Institute. He is currently a Clinical Social Work Candidate in the State of Colorado.
Jesse believes relationships are at the very core of our human experience. Interactions with other people shape our personality, how we express our emotions, and impact the overall quality of our lives. People are capable of overcoming their own problems, engaging in self-healing, and mobilizing their own naturally occurring resources and relationships when they have the right tools and support. If self-healing is the “engine” that makes therapy work, then my role is that of a mechanic to perform a tune-up by providing a safe working space & potential for new learning opportunities.
In his work with young adults and families, Jesse practices with a focus on systemic and strength-based modalities emphasizing client’s strengths, resources, and maintaining a sense of hope & possibility. He strives to collaborate with clients on achievable goals, creatively brainstorm viable strategies, and help people to take small concrete steps forward achieving a brighter future.
When he is not working, Jesse likes to ride his motorcycle, snowboard, and spend time with his family.
